The objective of Upcabs is to design and develop a taxi booking application that caters to the needs of both passengers and drivers. The application will be equipped with a user-friendly interface and provide users with a seamless experience while ensuring their safety and security. Additionally, the aim of Upcabs is to create an admin dashboard to manage and monitor all the activities happening within the app.
The current taxi booking system is outdated and does not provide a hassle-free experience to users. The passengers face several challenges such as long waiting times, unavailability of cabs, and unsafe rides. On the other hand, the drivers face issues such as low earnings and difficulty in finding passengers. Additionally, there is no proper system to monitor and manage the activities happening within the app. Therefore, there is a need to develop a new system that addresses these issues and provides a seamless experience to users.
We propose to design and develop a taxi booking application that includes three different functionalities – An app for drivers, an App for passengers, and an Admin dashboard. The passenger app will allow users to book rides, track their cabs, and pay for their rides. The driver app will allow drivers to receive ride requests, navigate to the pickup location, and receive payments. The Admin dashboard will allow the admin to manage and monitor all the activities happening within the app, including managing drivers and passengers, reviewing ride history, and resolving complaints.
